Volunteer at VIWF
As a non-profit society and a fundraiser for one of Vancouver’s iconic arts organizations, the Vancouver International Wine Festival simply could not operate without the hard work and commitment of our volunteers. Thank you to our 2016 volunteers!
We are now accepting volunteer applications for the 2017 festival, which takes place February 11-19 at the Vancouver Convention Centre West and other venues in Metro Vancouver. This is Canada’s premier wine event and in 2017 features Canada as the theme country.

In addition to the fun and camaraderie that goes with the job, you’ll get kudos and thanks from everyone involved in the festival. Best yet, you’ll receive one International Festival Tasting ticket (value $79 to $95) for 10 hours of work!
The festival is a key fundraiser for Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival, one of Canada’s largest not-for-profit, professional Shakespeare festivals. The partnership with VanWineFest helps Bard maintain its signature high artistic standards and its educational programs. Learn about the importance of Bard in our community here.

If you are applying for the first time or volunteered prior to the 2015 festival, please fill out an application by setting up your account at MyVolunteerPage and following the application process. Please note: all volunteers must be 19+. Shifts will be confirmed by email by early February.
If you would like to volunteer for the pouring team, please contact Marcena Croy. All pourers must have Serving It Right certification.
Some volunteer positions can be physically demanding, requiring heavy lifting (moving cases of wine or furniture, for example) and being on your feet throughout your shift. Others require standing or walking during your shift. But a few less active jobs are available too. Please review the Job Descriptions to determine the positions best suited to you.
