Tasting Room Opens

VanWineFest is now in full swing – half-way through festival week – but the main event is being set up right now! The Tasting Room is home to four International Festival Tastings and two industry-only Trade Tastings. Tickets are still available for Thursday and Friday evening and the Saturday matinee International Festival Tastings – a limited number of tickets will be released one hour before Saturday evening’s sold-out tasting.

Gala Raises ~$280,000 for Bard

The Bacchanalia Gala Dinner + Auction kicked festival week off on Saturday, with a spectacular evening of wine and food that raised ~$280,000 for Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival through live and silent auctions and a raffle draw for two Delta One International Business class tickets. Congratulations to the Gala team!

The festival app is now available for download in the App Store and Google Play Store. Search for VanWineFest.

You’ll get details on all wines served at winery tables (180 wineries, ~780 wines) in the Tasting Room. Rate them, share your faves with friends, see what wines are trending, and learn more about the winery. Save your favourite wines for later – and when you get to the onsite BC Liquor Store, you can easily remember your top wines.

We recommend that you download the app before you arrive at the festival and set up an account to save your wine picks. If you have any issues or questions, look for the FreshWorks support team in the Tasting Room.
