One of the most spectacular wine and food events in the city - an evening of incredible wine, inventive food pairings, and unparalleled opportunities to enhance your wine cellar.

Bacchanalia kicked off with an Italian sparkling wine reception at 6 p.m., followed by a five-course meal paired with nine wines from Italy, Australia, Spain, Croatia, France and Portugal. The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver’s executive chef, Cameron Ballendine, created a series of gastronomic delights. And if that’s not enough, auctions included unique culinary experiences, excursions and extravaganzas, featuring chefs and sommeliers from the West Coast’s top restaurants.

But above all, Gala is a must for any serious wine collector: throughout the evening, patrons had the opportunity to bid on rare and unique wines through silent and live auctions. This year, the live auction included a bottle of 1906 Château Latour, valued at $10,000, and other spectacular wine collections. This year, the auctions raised $210,000, with proceeds benefiting Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival.
