The Bacchanalia Online Auction, presented by National Bank Private Banking 1859, will be open from bidding between April 27 and May 1.

Wine Highlights
Champagne Taittinger Brut Réserve Nebuchadnezzar – Estimated Value: $3,000
Celebrate a special occasion with this 15L bottle of Taittinger Brut Reserve – that’s 20 regular bottles! The Taittinger Brut Reserve is made from premium Chardonnay (40%), Pinot Noir (30%) and Pinot Meunier (30%). You can cellar this large format bottle for 12 years to gain more complexity or pop the cork now for a memorable party.
Pétrus 1994 – Estimated Value: $4,000
Pétrus is the most celebrated wine of Pomerol and this bottle is from the Pétrus estate’s greatest era. Pomerol was the only appellation in Bordeaux to produce great wine in 1994; according to Robert Parker (93 points), this year produced a tannic, classic style of wine at Pétrus, “with immense body, great purity, and a backward finish.” This wine is ready now, but could be cellared another 14 years.

Christopher Gaze is the Founding Artistic Director of Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival. He also hosts the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra’s popular Tea & Trumpets series and the VSO’s annual Traditional Christmas concerts.
