Cities & Sights
Bordeaux * Libourne * Saint-Émilion * Blaye * Bourg * Pauillac * Cadillac

There’s no more fitting starting point for this sailing than Bordeaux, an undisputed wine capital. Enjoy exquisite tastings just as unforgettable as the wines you’ll sip. Visit the renowned vineyards of Saint-Émilion, Pauillac and Libourne, discovering timeless wine-making traditions, and visit the Bordeaux Wine Museum, a spectacular sensory experience with the power to turn even the most hesitant wine drinkers into connoisseurs.

Your journey aboard the AmaDolce will be enhanced with informative wine seminars and wine paired dinners hosted by renowned wine expert and author, Paul Wagner, the 2018 VIWF keynote speaker. Paul will personally select the wines for our exclusive dinners to be paired with the menus curated by the ship’s world-class culinary team.

Renowned Wine Expert and Author Paul Wagner has been an instructor for Napa Valley College’s Viticulture & Enology department for the past 23 years, and for 10 years was a regular columnist for Vineyards & Winery Management Magazine. He is a highly regarded guest lecturer at universities throughout the world on wine business, communications, wine and wine marketing, and in 2007 he co-authored Wine Marketing & Sales, Success Strategies for a Saturated Market, an internationally award winning wine book. In 2009 he was honored with a “Life Dedicated to Wine” award at the Feria Nacional del Vino (FENAVIN) in Spain, and is a founding member of the Academy of Wine Communications. With Rick Kushman, he hosts Bottle Talk with Rick and Paul, a weekly podcast on wine recorded at Capital Public Radio.

Net proceeds from the cruise will help support Bard on the Beach. Expedia Criuse Ship Centers generously donated a balcony stateroom to this cruise for the 2019 Bacchanalia Gala Live Auction, which proved to be the most successful item that evening, raising $16,000 for Bard!
