Bacchanalia 2017 celebrated the 150th anniversary of Canada’s Confederation at one of the most spectacular wine and food events in the city. Guested enjoyed an evening of incredible wine, inventive food pairings, and unparalleled opportunities to enhance their wine cellars through silent auctions and the thrilling live auction during dinner.

The Bacchanalia Gala kicked off with a sparkling wine reception at 6 p.m., and featured nine additional outstanding wines paired with an exquisite five-course menu prepared by the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver’s executive chef Cameron Ballendine.  This magical evening was emceed by Global BC anchor Chris Gailus and Bard on the Beach artistic director Christopher Gaze. All topped off with live music and dancing.  And if that’s not enough, live and silent auctions throughout the evening featurd extremely rare wines, epicurean getaways and unique culinary experiences featuring chefs and sommeliers from the West Coast’s top restaurants.  A must for any serious wine collector!

Proceeds from the Bacchanalia Gala support Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival. Since its inception in 1979, the wine festival has raised over $8.7 million for the arts. A tax receipt is issued for a portion of each Gala ticket purchased.
